As you can see this DLO shows the strategy of place value to solve addition problems. During our maths session we practiced our place values by answering word questions and addition problem. When I was answering the words question I had to look for the maths so that I knew what numbers to work with. What I found interesting is that this strategy is really useful against addition questions and not useful with multiplication, this had shown me that different strategies are useful for different maths question.
