Shakeout
This week on thursday it was shakeout day, I was working with Josh and Aung Naing for this task. As you can see I have made a google presentation that has information about the first earthquake that hit christchurch and another earthquake that hit christchurch after one year later. I have also changed the cover for my presentation, the original cover can be looked up by Aung naing or Josh blog post. The reason why I chose a mountain for my cracks was because I wanted the sun to be covered a little bit and, the cracks look kind of realistic with a setting of a mountain. I also have 3 tips to avoid getting injured by an earthquake, Drop, Cover, Hold on. These 3 tips will help you get prepared for an another earthquake.

Using Colons In a Sentence
This week my writing group have been learning about colons. Colons are usually used for main ideas or lists. As you can see I have illustrated a beach. The first thing I did was, to open the example colons document. After I had to used colons and put them in the correct place. Once completed, I had to choose a sentence from that document, that had colons, then I illustrated it. I placed my colons at the word vacations, because the sentence, (Both were on the beach) was another idea.

Analogue Time
This week I have been learning about analog time, as you can see I have created a google document, this document talks about how to use a analogue time and the specific words used to tell an analogue time. I have learnt many things about analog time which is really amazing because i didn't understand that much.
Analogue Time
Is it worth learning about analogue time? Sometimes it can save somebody's life, and avoid you from getting fired from your boss.
There are two ways to tell time, analogue time and digital time, but as for today, we will talk about analogue time. Analogue time has 12 sections of numbers, the maximum hour of a day is 24 hours. The 24 hours are divided into two periods of time named am and pm. Am tells that its morning which has one of the sections of 12, and pm tells it is night which has the other pair of 12.
For an example 6 am is early in the morning, 6 pm is early evening. These 2 types are opposite from each other. There are also hands in a Analogue clock, there are 2 hands, the big hand and the small hand, the big hand tells minutes and the small hand tells hours. There is also an second hand that tells the second. The easy thing about time is that each of the 12 sections from a analog clock are divided into 5s, which means if the big hand goes around the whole clock, that is exactly an hour past. An whole hour is 60 minutes in total.
Now I that I have taught you about the basics of an analogue time, let's talk about specific words used to say these time, here are the types of talking languages that people use, quarter past, half past and past. “It is half past 4”. Which means it is 4:30. If you say it, “it is quarter past 7, it is 7:15, because 15 is one of the quarters to make 60 which is an whole hour. There is also past, past is like saying it is 8:05 but you are saying this, “it is 5 past 8”.
Now I hope you have learnt how to tell analog time it is not too difficult to tell analog time although it is not too simple to learn it, analog time can make miracles happen, it can save you from being late on a special occasion and avoid you from many problems.

Scale Drawing/Pony
Last week, LS2 created scale drawing because it was maths week. I chose to draw a Pony, because I thought it would be simple and colorful. This was my first time experiencing scale drawing. Scale drawing was really fun because you get to draw a photo of your choice that's appropriate. I also learnt what enlargement means, enlargement is when you find a picture, and draw that picture but enlarge the size, and draw it similar how it is laid out. On my pony, my enlargement between the the original pony and my pony weren't exactly that similar, but I still enjoyed the view of it. As I did scale drawing I found the face of the pony difficult to draw because of how my hands were shaking. I found the hair simple because the hair was just a straight line curving. Next time I create a scale drawing, I will improve the choice of my picture, and challenge myself to draw a more difficult picture. The length of my was grid 9cm squares wide, and the height of my grid was 12cm high. The scale factor was 2, which meant we had to multiply our grid cm by 2, to increase the size, increasing the size and making the squares exactly the same as the original pony is laid out, this is when you can call your drawing a enlargement.

Kiwi Can
This week Learning Space 2 Group B, had Kiwi Can. At Kiwi Can we talked about resilience which is our theme, resilience is when you, never give up, for an example, its when you have difficulties with a challenge that you set up and recovering back from the high energy you had before. Our topic was goals, goals are something really special, because they are something you want to archive. When I grow up I want to be a basketball player, for me to become a basketball player I have to set up the smaller goals, to achieve the bigger goals. The smaller goals is like saying shoot a 3 pointer everyday, that will help you because, you are setting up a challenge for yourself, that challenge will help you improve on your bigger goals. We also had 2 games, our first game was called snatch, in the game snatch, you have form a circle, and there will be cones around the circle in the middle. When Mr Matt says go you have to try snatch a cone, but also try not to get manipulated, because Mr Matt will say something like toe moe gol which is similar to go. We also played Destiny Child which was a really fun, we had to split up to 2 equal teams. One team had shoot the ball, and the other team had to run, running team had to run around the courts before the Shooters get a hoop, if the shooters get a hoop while someones running, then you have to stand still. The last player is called Destiny's Child, the Destiny Child is used to unfreeze the players who got out from the shooters. Our team was the winner in Destiny's child, as we had all our players return to the finish line.

M&M DLO
This week for maths, LS2 have been working collaborating by being splitting up to 9 groups. Our topic was about M&M. As you can see our DLO has facts and the history of when M&M were made, and how it started as a thing. Did you know that Mars, the owner of M&M, saw soldiers eating smaries during the spanish civil war. Then mars thought of an idea, Mars thought of covering the Smarties with a special type of shell, which would prevent the smarties from melting from the sun.

The compoents used to create this story includes: Speech bubles, Characters, Backdrops, Coding, Effects. This animated story was also incompleted but was purposely posted for a example of how a Animated story works using stratch. The codes I used to recreate the story include: Event, Looks, Green Flag, Red Flag, Script. The looks script to enable the sprites to talk, Events script to start the story, Control script to enable a pause bewtween a Character or to repeat a word a Characters said. I enjoyed using stratch, as I learnt how to code.

Tech - Reflection
This week for Tech, LS2 year 7 went to Digital Tech, we created a DLO and brain stormed places that are within the area of the tamaki community, then we created a document and typed about what our topic is going to be about in tamaki community, my topic was about students that are age 5 to 13, and how they had to stop littering as it will create a world with polluted air, once thats happen our world would be extinct as everyone would of been killed of what they had been breathing in and out. After that we created a google sheet and had a list of things we had been planning about.
Kiwi Can
This week at kiwi can, we have a new value which is called accountability. For an example if you are using accountability to a person, you are owing up to something you caused, if you aren't using accountability, you would blame someone for something they aren't responsible for. There are also tips that should be used when having accountability, waking up before the bell rings when tech begins or school time, getting prepared for school time or stationary, getting your chromebook charged before school starts, using agent of change to become someone new. The game we played was called green lights, first you had to pick a partner, then you had to choose between you or your partner who's going to become number 1 or number 2, after the partner that was slotted as number 1 would have to be at the front and the partner that was slotted as number 2 had to be behind. As you played green light, if green lights was called out everyone had to switch places with their partners. If called red card every number 2 had to jump on top pf number 2 back and had to be stabilized for 3 seconds. When Yellow light was called out, slot number 1 had to knee down and the number 2 had to set on the number 1 knee. Then, if called out fruit salad, number 1 had to run around the circle and back to their spot.

Character Description
As I see a tunnel in a forest I begin to think harder and harder. Why is there a weird looking tunnel in the middle of the forest? Although there is a tunnel, the tunnel doesn’t really look a tunnel due to the fact that the tunnel is made out of wood, twigs and vines that are not fully connected to each other. I found the tunnel scary. As I looked at the tunnel I found out that the wood and vines from the tunnel were actually wet and old. I wondered if there could be something close by. I heard a girl voice coming closer. “Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy”

Wood Tech Art
This is my work from tech, if you have been wondering what it is, the picture represents a dog. At tech our teacher is Mr Grundy, Mr Grundy teaches Woodtech, which is something fun to make out of wood to metal. For an example I am going to make this dog, the reason why I chose a dog for my picture, is because my mum loves dog and this photo, has a right angle of detail. So what Im going to do is i'm actually going to have to trace around this dog by place a thin piece of wood that is shaped as a square, then I am going to use a special sawing machine to cut my piece of traced art. After Mr Grundy will ask if it looks great, then he will pour in some melted hot metal, Soon you have to wait for about 15 minutes, then the picture that you made is perfectly stoned.

At Kiwi Can we warmed up with an energiser. The engiser was called get in the hoop. We had to be in a circle like the shape of a hoop. Then we got into 4 groups by Mr Matt putting us into 4 groups by counting 1, 2, 3, 4. After Mr Matt had to call a number, if the number that Mr Matt said was yours you had to walk or speed walk around the circle until you got back at your spot . Then you had to run through your spot and jump into a hoop. The last person standing in the circle was the winner. After our game we talked about fairness and fairplay and the importance of having Rules.
The reason why we have rules at Panmure Bridge School is so students can self manage them self. If there was no rules in public, there would be people killing each other, stealing and other crimes.

Remembering our Summer
I heard the ocean splashing on the sand like an earthquake, although the ocean splashed like an earthquake it felt like nothing but weak splashes.
I heard the seagulls squeaking around the ocean .
I saw the beautiful sunlight glistenings down at me.
I felt so relaxed with how the sunlight was shiney.
I felt lazy in the heat of summer.
I wondered how the sun even exist in the world.
I wondered if the sun flame could ever die out.
This week on Wednesday everybody in Learning Space 2 had to complete an document which we had to type about what we did in the holidays, starting off with either I felt, I heard, I saw, and I wondered. We also had to choose what made sense in the first line.
