Mine Explosion 1879


As you can see I have created a DLO which tells you what happened in 1879, about the Coal Mine explosion in Kaitangata. If you didn't know what kaitangata is, kaitangata is a town located in New Zealand near the coast of otago. If you check my DLO I have explained what fire damp means, fire damp is a new word I learnt from reading the news about the mine explosion.

9 Time Tables


This week for maths, our focus was about 9 times tables. As you can see I have created a DLO to explain how work 9 time tables. In our my DLO I have answered all the 9 times tables to 9 and also showed in other slide groups of 9, like for an example groups of 1 to 9.

This week, for writing our focus was about using punctuation marks by using a website called iphonefaketext which is useful for our learning, because its like were talking to people. I have also created a DLO and have typed differences between a inform message a DLO message.

Body System - Skeletal System

This week, our focus for inquiry was about body systems, as we were learning about the body systems  we played a game which tells us where each of our bones go into place. I found this game challenging because i didn't know where to place our bones into place. This game was also fun because it was a challenging thing to complete. My score was 29, can you do better.

The Unfinished Drink

This DLO is all about a man who unfinished his drink, he died and didn't get to finish his drink, he died during the war, this story is also a narrative. I felt sad and happy about this story, i felt sorry for him because he died during the war and didn't get to finish his drink, I also felt happy because his friend kept his promised.

Animal Roles



Did you know in WW1 many of the mascots were animals. The mascos were also like a best friend or a companion to a soldier and did a great job at lifting people's spirits. Horses, Donkeys, Dog and others were really helpful back at WW1.
