Reports

To understand the purpose of an information report.

Blast From The Past

Text title: Blast from the past
Author: David Hill
I think the main idea of this text is People have making rockets for a long time.
One example of a supporting detail is About 900 years ago armies in china used basic rockets.
Another example of a supporting detail The Chinese soldiers also used smaller bamboo tubes
It is clear that the main idea is about rocket

Because it tells us things about the rocket most times in the book.

LI: to identify features of an information report.
LI: to infer information in a text.

Rocket Club

Text title: Rocket Club
Author:Feana Tu'akoi
I think the main idea of this text is  Matthew Belonging to the rocket club.
One example of a supporting detail is Matthew is going to build a shark rocket which is taller than him. He used the internet to find some shape of fin for the shark rocket.
Another example of a supporting detail is The launch site is on a farm in taupiri.

It is clear that the main idea is Mathew building rocket for the rocket club

Because Matthew want to build a pyramid shaped one next, after he launches the one he is standing next to in the picture

Matthew is a member of the new Zealand rocketry association.

The launch site is on a farm in taupiri.
